Showers Expected in Southwestern Gyeonggi and Chungnam on the Afternoon of the 28th
Temperatures in Seoul to Remain Above 35 Degrees Until After Friday
On Monday, the 28th, most regions across the country are expected to continue experiencing heatwave conditions.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 27th, the morning low temperatures nationwide on the 28th are forecast to range from 21 to 28 degrees Celsius, while the daytime high temperatures are expected to reach between 32 and 37 degrees Celsius.
The expected highest daytime temperatures by region are as follows: Seoul 37 degrees, Suwon, Daejeon, Cheongju, and Jeonju 36 degrees, Chuncheon, Wonju, Gangneung, Gwangju, and Daegu 35 degrees, and Busan and Jeju 32 degrees.
In Seoul, the temperature is not expected to drop below 35 degrees Celsius until Friday, August 1st.
On the 28th, skies across the country will generally be clear. However, in the afternoon, the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungnam region will see occasional cloudiness, and there may be showers in southwestern Gyeonggi and Chungnam. Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy, with occasional rain in some areas until the morning.
The expected precipitation is 5 to 30 millimeters in southwestern Gyeonggi, Chungnam, and Jeju Island.
Coastal areas of Jeollanam-do, southern Gyeongsangnam-do, and Jeju Island should be cautious of high waves. Waves in the outer seas south of Jeju and the outer southeastern seas are expected to reach up to 5.0 meters.
