Kang Byeongryeong, Director of Gwangdo Korean Medicine Clinic, Elected as 22nd President of Dong-Eui University Alumni Association

Kang Byeongryeong, the director of Gwangdo Korean Medicine Clinic, has been elected as the 22nd president of the Dong-Eui University Alumni Association.

The Dong-Eui University Alumni Association held an extraordinary general meeting for 2025 on the 24th at the International Building Communication Conference Room. During this meeting, Kang Byeongryeong, who was recommended by the nomination committee, was unanimously appointed as the president of the alumni association. His term will run until December 31, 2027.

President Kang earned both his master's and doctoral degrees in Korean Medicine from the Dong-Eui University Graduate School. He opened Gwangdo Korean Medicine Clinic in Dongnae-gu, Busan, and has been running it for 38 years. In recognition of his ongoing contributions to medical volunteer work and scholarship programs, he was awarded the Moran Medal of the Order of Civil Merit in April. He has also served as chairman of the KBS Busan Viewers Committee and vice president of the Busan Disabled Persons Federation.

Kang Byeongryeong stated, "I believe the role of the alumni association is to unite alumni and work together to firmly support the development of our alma mater," and emphasized, "By gathering the strength of 130,000 Hyomin alumni, I will contribute to enhancing the honor of Dong-Eui University."

The alumni association plans to hold the inauguration ceremony for the new president, Kang Byeongryeong, along with the retirement ceremony for the 21st president, Lee Bohyun, around the university's anniversary at the end of October.
