From Free Kkumdori Ramen and Signature Breads to EDM Parties
To promote the Daejeon 0si Festival, signature Daejeon items such as Kkumdori Ramen?which sold out rapidly after its launch in June?and baked goods from Seongsimdang, as well as Kkumssi Family merchandise, were provided free of charge at the Boryeong Mud Festival, drawing significant attention and popularity.
The hidden card for promoting the Daejeon 0si Festival, the nationwide tour of "Daejeon Bread Truck Season 2," will successfully conclude at the Boryeong Mud Festival from July 26 to 27.
This tour, held in conjunction with the Boryeong Mud Festival?a leading global summer festival?featured special promotional events targeting both domestic and international tourists, greatly heightening nationwide anticipation for Daejeon's flagship event, the "2025 Daejeon 0si Festival."
The finale stage in Boryeong attracted attention with the most spectacular lineup of bread truck events to date.
In particular, at the Boryeong finale, an EDM DJing show and Daejeon city’s promotional ambassador Granada participated directly in the bread truck event, drawing the spotlight. The on-site DJing and a special appearance by Granada combined to fully elevate the summer festival atmosphere.
Additionally, interactive events such as an OX quiz, nostalgic prize draws, and a Kkumdori doll show further boosted visitor participation and immersion in the festival.
Tourist A, who visited from Seoul, said, "I never expected to find Daejeon's Kkumdori Ramen and bread at the Mud Festival," adding, "This summer, I plan to spend my vacation at the Boryeong Mud Festival in July and the Daejeon 0si Festival in August."
B, who attended the festival with family, commented, "My children love the Kkumdori character so much that we definitely plan to visit the Daejeon 0si Festival in August to see Kkumdori."
"Daejeon Bread Truck Season 2" began at the Pusan National University Festival on May 29 and toured five cities over two months?including the Chungju Dive Festival, Daejeon Museum of Art Van Gogh Exhibition, Government Complex Sejong, Hanwha Life Eagles Park (KBO All-Star Game), and the Boryeong Mud Festival?promoting the charm of Daejeon nationwide.
Daejeon Mayor Lee Jangwoo stated, "The world-renowned Boryeong Mud Festival provided a great opportunity to share Daejeon's culture and fun," and added, "As we are fully preparing for the Daejeon 0si Festival in August, I hope you will choose the 0si Festival for your summer vacation this year."
Meanwhile, the "2025 Daejeon 0si Festival" will be held from August 8 to 16 along Jungang-ro and in the original downtown area.
