The Bank of Korea announced on the 27th that it will hold the 'Currency Museum Goods Design Contest' from July 28 to September 5.

The themes of the contest are as follows: designs that reflect the history, role, or policies of the Bank of Korea; designs that incorporate the history or architecture of the Currency Museum; and designs that utilize Korean currency, including old currency.
A total of 10 designs will be selected, and a total of 21 million won in prize money will be awarded, including 5 million won for the grand prize. A Bank of Korea official stated, "The purpose is to expand communication with the public and enhance the Bank of Korea's brand image by producing goods that reflect the latest trends," and added, "Some of the winning entries will be produced and sold as actual goods."
