This event was organized to officially announce the start of full-scale housing supply in Wangsuk New Town, which is being developed as the largest of the third-generation new towns, and to raise public interest in housing applications, thereby creating a successful atmosphere for the upcoming sales.
The newly opened exhibition center introduces a total of 1,030 public housing units, including 629 units in A1 Block and 401 units in A2 Block of the Wangsuk District. All units are small to medium-sized, with exclusive areas of 60 square meters or less, and are expected to attract high demand from actual homebuyers.
Inside the exhibition center, there are full-scale model houses of type 59A (A1 Block) and type 55A (A2 Block), allowing visitors to experience the actual living spaces. After the opening ceremony, the center will be open to the general public on a regular basis.
Mayor Ju Gwangdeok stated, "Wangsuk New Town is being developed as a future-oriented self-sufficient city in the northeastern metropolitan area, integrating wide-area transportation networks such as the GTX-B line and the extension of Subway Line 9, as well as advanced industrial functions." He added, "This first public housing sale will mark the starting point for Namyangju to emerge as a future hub for both residential and economic activities."
He further emphasized, "We will prioritize public interest and improvements in residential conditions, and through close cooperation with LH, we will develop Wangsuk New Town into the leading future city of the northeastern metropolitan area."
