Processed Food Price Stabilization Project to Begin in Q3
20 High-Demand Products Selected Each Quarter
Limited Three-Month Discount Benefits
The "Godseongbi Chucheontem" project selects 20 processed food items from Lotte Mart's private brands (PB), "Oneuljoheun" and "Yorihada," each quarter and offers them at discounts of up to 25% for a limited period of three months. The products are chosen mainly based on high customer demand, including items such as ramen, kimchi, and refrigerated ready-to-eat meals.
This month, a total of 20 items have been selected, including "Yorihada Beef Ramen (5 packs)," "Yorihada Jeollado-style Pogikimchi (3.3kg)," "Yorihada Chaltongsundae (500g)," and "Oneuljoheun Soft Tofu Stew Seasoning (140g)." Yorihada Beef Ramen is discounted from 2,990 won to 2,790 won, and Yorihada Jeollado-style Pogikimchi is reduced from 21,900 won to 19,900 won. Yorihada Chaltongsundae is now available at 2,990 won, down from 3,490 won, and Oneuljoheun Soft Tofu Stew Seasoning is offered at 1,190 won, 400 won lower than the original price of 1,590 won. Oneuljoheun Busan Fish Cake Value Pack (250g*2) is now available for 2,490 won, which is 500 won cheaper than before.
According to Lotte Mart, cumulative sales of these 20 items from July 1 to July 24 this month have approximately doubled compared to the same period last year. The total sale price of these products also decreased by about 12%, from 102,120 won to 89,540 won.
To ease the burden on customers, Lotte Mart has implemented price reductions on some PB products this year. In January, it lowered the prices of 13 items, such as "Oneuljoheun White Rice (210g)" and "Oneuljoheun Wafer Roll (100g)," by up to 16%. Last month, it reduced the price of "Oneuljoheun 1A Milk (930ml)" by 10%, offering it at 2,290 won. Lotte Mart is also launching new PB products with high customer demand, such as "Oneuljoheun Fresh Cream (500ml)," which is being sold for 5,990 won this month.
Lee Yeonju, Head of the Food PB Development Team 2 at Lotte Mart and Super, stated, "We have prepared the Godseongbi Chucheontem project to provide tangible discount benefits that consumers can feel amid ongoing price increases. In the upcoming fourth quarter, we will additionally select key PB products, promote the excellence of our private brand products, and contribute to consumer price stabilization by offering products at reasonable prices."
