On July 25, the BBC reported, "Kristin Cabot, a senior executive at Astronomer whose affair was exposed at the Coldplay concert, has resigned." Previously, the CEO involved was fired by the board of directors.

On July 16, at the Coldplay concert held at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and CPO Kristin Cabot were caught on camera affectionately hugging from behind while watching the concert. After realizing they were on camera, both quickly covered their faces with their hands and bent down, visibly flustered. The event host, upon seeing this, joked, "Look at those two, either they're having an affair or they're just shy."

The video quickly garnered over 70 million views on TikTok and rapidly spread across various social networking services (SNS). Internet users soon identified the man and woman in the video as Byron and Cabot. As a result, numerous memes and parody videos mocking the two spread online, and calls for their dismissal intensified.

As the controversy grew, the CEO was immediately dismissed the following day. Pete Djoy, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, announced that he would serve as interim CEO until a new CEO is appointed. Following the CEO's dismissal, the female executive also left the company.

Meanwhile, Astronomer is an AI data startup that provides infrastructure to help companies integrate data into their applications. It currently collaborates with global companies such as Apple, Ford, and Uber. Founded in 2018, the company has raised $375.13 million from investors. Headquartered in New York, Astronomer employs more than 300 people and is estimated to have a market value of over $1 billion (approximately 1.4 trillion won).
