The Nakwon Senior Center in Dogye-dong is a place where the Changwon branch has been volunteering consistently since before the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining a relationship with the area for approximately six to seven years.

This campaign was organized as part of the 'Baeksemanse' activities, a senior welfare program by the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, to protect the elderly from the rapidly increasing damage caused by voice phishing. 'Baeksemanse' is a regular volunteer program that supports healthy and safe lives for senior citizens under the slogan, "Even if you live just one day, live a wonderful life."

During the educational session, video materials that were easy for the elderly to understand were used to explain the main techniques of voice phishing and how to respond. In particular, the session focused on practical cases such as ▲inducing the installation of apps ▲requests for remittance by impersonating information agencies or family members ▲loan offers via text messages or phone calls. It also addressed in detail the recent smishing method that impersonates the 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon.'

A representative from the Changwon branch stated, "Recently, voice phishing damage among those in their 50s and older has been increasing," and added, "We will continue to provide regular education to ensure that seniors can live safely."
