According to the South Jeolla Provincial Party of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party on the 25th, acting party leader Kim Sunmin, floor leader Seo Wangjin, and other party leaders visited a plastic greenhouse farm in Bongsan-myeon, Damyang County, which was damaged by heavy rain the previous day, and participated in recovery efforts. At the Supreme Council meeting held on site, acting leader Kim stated, "We will not turn away from the pain of residents whose livelihoods have been destroyed," and added, "We will take the lead in providing practical support to prevent recurrence."

Within political circles, there is analysis that this recovery support activity is a strategic move aimed at next year's local elections. The Cho Kuk Innovation Party, which produced a local government head in Damyang, is moving to expand its organization based on local sentiment. It also appears to be intended to appeal to regional sentiment, which has recently been soured by incidents such as power abuse and drunken assaults by some Democratic Party local councilors.

The South Jeolla Provincial Party of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party issued a statement on this day, criticizing, "The South Jeolla Provincial Party of the Democratic Party should not downplay repeated power abuse and disgraceful behavior as individual problems, but should reform its nomination and overall ethics system." The statement continued, "Local councilors must bow their heads and apologize to residents, make human rights and ethics education mandatory, and establish a constant reporting and investigation system."

The provincial party has established regional committees in five locations: Yeosu, Mokpo, Gokseong-Gurye, Naju-Hwasun, and Yeonggwang-Hampyeong, and is accelerating the expansion of its organizational base. It plans to soon reorganize its regional committees and field candidates in all 22 cities and counties of South Jeolla Province. Seo Heewon, head of the South Jeolla Provincial Party, stated, "It is important to establish a healthy competitive relationship with the Democratic Party, for the sake of South Jeolla."
