To Raise Awareness of Water Accident Prevention and Safety
Changnyeong County in Gyeongnam conducted the "July Safety Inspection Day" campaign at Okcheon Valley in Changnyeong-eup, a designated water recreation management area, to prevent water-related accidents during the summer vacation season.
The campaign, held on July 24, was organized to raise awareness about the prevention of water accidents and the importance of safety. Deputy County Governor Shim Sangcheol, along with 34 officials from Changnyeong County, Changnyeong Office of Education, Changnyeong Police Station, and Changnyeong Fire Station, participated in the event and distributed promotional materials on "Water Safety Guidelines" to visitors.
In addition, the participants inspected safety facilities such as lifesaving equipment, and promoted important information including precautions for water activities during the summer, the necessity of wearing life jackets, and how to respond in case of an emergency.
Deputy County Governor Shim Sangcheol stated, "As the number of people enjoying water activities is expected to increase during the summer vacation, the safety of our residents is our top priority," and added, "I hope everyone will have a safe and enjoyable summer by following the safety guidelines."
