In the first half of this year, fund dividend payouts amounted to 23.4699 trillion won, marking a 1.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
On July 25, the Korea Securities Depository announced these figures in its report on the "Fund Dividend Payout Status for the First Half of 2025."
By type, public offering funds paid out 3.7266 trillion won, representing a 6.7% increase, while private placement funds paid out 19.7433 trillion won, which was a 1.0% rise.
The number of funds that paid dividends increased to 1,494 for public offering funds and 8,399 for private placement funds, up by 10.7% and 7.8%, respectively.
The amount of fund dividends that were reinvested reached 12.2662 trillion won, resulting in a reinvestment rate of 52.3%.
Public offering funds reinvested 3.3716 trillion won, while private placement funds reinvested 8.8946 trillion won.
Newly established funds during the same period increased by 17.6% to 37.4837 trillion won, and liquidation distributions rose by 22.8% to 22.1745 trillion won.
