Over 30 Employees Participate in Watermelon Greenhouse Restoration
and Waste Vinyl Collection During Peak Farming Season
Deloitte Anjin Accounting Corporation announced on the 25th that on the previous day, July 24, it visited flood-affected farms in Jangpyeong-myeon, Cheongyang-gun, South Chungcheong Province, to carry out recovery work following heavy rainfall.

On-site volunteering involved more than 20 Deloitte Anjin executives and employees, including Heo Sik, Deloitte Anjin Senior Advisor (former Vice President of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation), and Shin Geumho, Managing Director, as well as more than 10 employees from the Cheongyang Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation and Jeongsan Agricultural Cooperative, totaling over 30 participants.
The volunteers removed vines and debris from watermelon greenhouses that had been flooded by the heavy rain, and collected and separated waste vinyl covered in mud. In addition, they helped secure ventilation inside the greenhouses and organized cultivation beds to prepare for replanting.
Shin Geumho, Managing Director of Deloitte Anjin, stated, "Our employees united with one heart to provide practical assistance to the farms that suffered significant damage from the flooding," adding, "We will respond promptly to any additional requests for support in the future."
A farmer present at the site expressed gratitude, saying, "We were at a loss due to the lack of manpower, but this was a great help." After the work, the volunteer team gathered the waste vinyl at a temporary collection point on-site to prevent secondary contamination and then handed it over.
Deloitte Anjin and the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation plan to discuss additional volunteer schedules for the second half of this year and continue providing manpower and material support to farms in need of long-term recovery.
Korea Deloitte Group donated 100 million won on July 24 to support local residents affected by the record-breaking heavy rainfall across the country and to assist in recovery efforts. Previously, the group also took the lead in providing prompt relief during domestic and international disasters, such as the 2022 East Coast wildfires, the 2023 T?rkiye earthquake, the 2022?2023 flood-affected areas, and the 2025 wildfires in the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions. Furthermore, through the nonprofit organization Deloitte Hanmaeumnanum, the group carries out various social contribution programs, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
