Choi Eunseok Selected as a Recipient of the "Korea Constitutional Award"
for the First Year of the 22nd National Assembly
Choi Eunseok, a member of the People Power Party representing Dong-gu and Gunwi-gun Gap in Daegu, was selected on July 25 as a recipient of the "Korea Constitutional Award" for the first year of the 22nd National Assembly.
The Korea Law Consumers Federation Headquarters quantified a total of 12 criteria for the first year of the 22nd National Assembly, including attendance at plenary sessions, attendance at standing committee meetings, participation in bill voting, performance and passage rate of bills proposed as the main sponsor, participation in parliamentary audits and government questioning, activities in the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and activities in ad hoc committees. Based on these criteria, the top 25% of outstanding lawmakers were selected.
Since the opening of the Assembly, Choi Eunseok has achieved a 100% attendance rate at standing committee meetings, received the Gukliminbok Award at the 2024 parliamentary audit, and actively participated in the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts and the budget subcommittee, demonstrating broad and exemplary legislative activities. He achieved consistently excellent results across all indicators. In particular, his sustained interest in public welfare and the overall economy, as well as his practical legislative efforts, were positively evaluated. He was also highly praised for his sincere commitment to policy activities aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens and enhancing national competitiveness, and for his pragmatic, field-oriented approach.
Choi stated, "The past year has been a time devoted to revitalizing the national economy and engaging in legislative activities essential for the people's livelihood. I will continue to maintain my original intentions and practice sincere politics that meets the expectations of the public."
Meanwhile, the Korea Law Consumers Federation decided to announce the recipients only this year, foregoing the award ceremony in consideration of the current situation of the National Assembly.
