According to this agreement, the organizations will jointly pursue several initiatives: hosting a specialized local brand festival for tourism companies in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region in collaboration with Hyundai Department Store; supporting the discovery of outstanding local brands in the tourism sector and helping them expand their sales channels; and identifying new projects to promote local brands of tourism companies through mutual cooperation.
At the Local Brand Festival, a variety of programs will be offered, including pop-up zones, experience spaces, performances, and side events, focusing on tourism companies based in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region. Local products from the region will also be available for purchase on site.
This business agreement was concluded to develop mid- to long-term collaborative projects between Hyundai Department Store and tourism companies in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, based on discussions held at the "2025 Tourism Biz Bridge: Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Tourism Company Open Innovation" event hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization's Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch on April 3.
Lee Dongwook, head of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "Through this agreement, we expect to create synergy between Hyundai Department Store's nationwide distribution network and the creative content unique to tourism companies. The Korea Tourism Organization will continue to support the growth of local brands that represent the region and promote various projects to vitalize local tourism."
