On July 24, First Lady Kim Hye-kyung visited Baekdun-ri in Gapyeong County, an area affected by flooding, to offer comfort to disaster victims and participate in volunteer activities.
The Office of the President explained that Mrs. Kim visited homes severely damaged by flooding and helped wash dishes and household items covered in muddy water. Afterwards, she went to the Baekdun-ri community center and provided lunch for 300 people, including residents, volunteers, and military personnel engaged in disaster relief efforts.
This activity was conducted privately to ensure the smooth operation of the volunteer work.
