Parodying the "Affair Scene" from the Coldplay Concert
Video Produced to Promote Jointly Hosted Event
Surpasses 1.7 Million Views in Just One Day
On July 23, Chuncheon City released a video titled "Food Tech, Moving in Chuncheon!" on its official YouTube channel. The same video was also posted on Instagram under the title, "Did we get caught? See you for real on the 25th!"

In the video, two men labeled "Chuncheon City" and "Gwacheon City" are seen hugging each other from behind like a couple. When the jumbotron camera focuses on them, they quickly hide their faces. This parodies an incident from the Coldplay concert held on July 16 at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, USA. At that time, Andy Byer, CEO of Astronomer, and Christine Cabot, the company's Chief People Officer, were caught on the kiss cam embracing from behind while watching the concert. The two, who had been enjoying the show, appeared startled and embarrassed when they realized they were on the big screen, hurriedly covering their faces. Chris Martin, Coldplay's leader and vocalist, jokingly remarked, "Those two are either having an affair or just shy." Later, it was revealed that they were indeed in an extramarital relationship.

The reason Chuncheon City created this "affair parody" was to promote the "Chuncheon City Food Tech Leading City Forum," which will be held at 1:30 p.m. on July 25 in the main conference room of Chuncheon City Hall. This event is co-hosted by Chuncheon City and Gwacheon City.
Online users who watched the video left enthusiastic comments such as, "It's even funnier because it's a short," "This is crazy lol," "I really like Chuncheon City for the first time in a while," "So funny, well made," "I can't believe they pulled this off so well. It's so effective I keep watching," and "Public institution shorts are addicting the public." Within a day of being posted, the video surpassed 1.7 million views on Instagram.
