According to reports from Reuters and The Guardian on July 24 (local time), a passenger plane carrying 49 people has gone missing in Russia's Far East, and search operations are currently underway.


Based on international media coverage, the 'An-24' flight operated by Angara Airlines, a Siberia-based carrier, disappeared while approaching Tynda in the Amur region, which borders China.


Vasily Orlov, the governor of Amur, stated that there were a total of 43 passengers on board, including 5 children. Including 6 crew members, the total number of people on board is 49. However, Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations separately announced that the number of people on board was approximately 40.


According to the Russian state media outlet Sputnik, there are reportedly no survivors.
