This support was implemented as part of the "Emergency Support Project for Climate Vulnerable Groups" by Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. The air circulators are expected to improve the efficiency of cooling devices and help circulate indoor air, thereby preventing heat-related illnesses among the elderly who are vulnerable to extreme heat and improving their living environment.

In particular, among the supported villages, 26 are sister villages paired one-to-one with each department of Saewool Headquarters. Employees from each department personally visited the senior centers in these villages to deliver the air circulators, check on the health of the elderly, and exchange greetings, further enhancing the significance of the initiative through direct communication activities.

Yoon Sungho, Head of External Cooperation, stated, "I hope this support of cooling devices will provide some help for spending the hot summer in a healthy and safe way," and added, "We will continue to do our best to respond to the climate crisis together with the local community and support neighbors in need of care."

Since last year, Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters has been practicing ESG management in harmony with the local community by carrying out various social contribution activities for energy-vulnerable groups suffering from heat waves, cold waves, and other hardships.
