Applications Accepted Until August 27
The Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) announced on July 24 that it will be accepting applications for the "2025 Excellent Design Professional Company Selection Project" until August 27.
This project aims to discover and select leading and promising companies by comprehensively evaluating their design expertise, management capabilities, and global competitiveness. Through this, the initiative seeks to support the continuous growth of outstanding design companies and strengthen the overall competitiveness of the industry.

Eligible applicants are companies registered as industrial design specialist firms under Article 9 of the Industrial Design Promotion Act. There are two categories: leading companies and promising companies.
Leading companies must have been established for at least seven years, have an average annual sales revenue of at least 1 billion KRW over the past three years, and employ at least five design professionals. Promising companies must have been established for less than seven years, have an average annual sales revenue of at least 200 million KRW over the past three years, and employ at least two design professionals, among other requirements.
This year, approximately 20 companies are expected to be selected, and the validity period of the selection is two years from the date of the award.
The selected companies will be finalized in October after a first-round document review and a second-round presentation evaluation, taking into account their design achievements and export performance. The certificate of selection and a trophy will be awarded at the "Design Korea" event in November.
The selected companies will receive various benefits, including additional points when applying for major KIDP support programs, support for exhibition participation and promotional content production, promotion through major media and publicity channels, and recommendations as implementing agencies for related organizations' projects.
Yoon Sangheum, President of the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, stated, "As selected companies receive practical benefits such as support program linkage, additional points, and promotional opportunities, we look forward to the interest and active participation of many design professional companies."
