AI Personal Assistant Service "Ddokbi" for the 5060 Generation
Analysis of Senior Members' Cultural Consumption Data
The personal assistant service "Ddokbi," designed for the 5060 generation, released an analysis of cultural data from its senior members for the first half of this year on July 24, 2025.
Ddokbi is an online assistant service that helps seniors in their 50s and 60s with searching, purchasing, booking and reservations, and recommendations, much like a child would assist a parent. Through AI-based responses, members can request what they need via chat as if conversing with their children, and Ddokbi, the intelligent assistant, uses individual data to provide answers. Once the member makes a decision, Ddokbi handles the entire process up to payment.
While utilizing AI technology, Ddokbi also employs counselors who graduated from secretary programs to interact directly with members. This approach satisfies the needs of senior members who prefer conversations with real people and increases satisfaction with the service.
The data released this time summarizes cultural consumption requests among a total of 16,082 requests received from January 1 to June 22, 2025, allowing a closer look at the cultural interests of senior members.
Among the cultural-related data, the most frequent requests were for search and recommendations (66.1%), followed by reservations and purchases (23.7%), and others (10.2%). By category, the requests were for culture·performance (62.7%), leisure·sports (26.8%), and tour·ticket (10.6%), in that order.
Within the culture·performance requests, the most common were classical music (25.8%), books·OTT (16.3%), trot (14.2%), K-pop (11.4%), lectures·talks (9.2%), and museums·art galleries (8.9%). For leisure·sports, the requests were led by golf (44.3%), baseball (34.3%), and others such as park golf and fishing (21.4%). For tour·ticket, domestic festivals·exhibitions accounted for 78.3%, while overseas theme parks and similar events made up 21.7%.
In particular, among classical music requests, there were many inquiries related to performances by pianists Cho Seongjin, Lim Yunchan, Baek Gunwoo, and conductor Chung Myungwhun. For trot, there were numerous requests for concerts by Lim Youngwoong and Na Hoon-a, as well as for events like Mister Trot and Hyunyeokgawang concerts. In leisure·sports, the majority of golf and baseball requests were for golf course reservations and baseball game ticket bookings, respectively.
Ham Dongsu, CEO of Ddokbi, analyzed, "The most interesting finding in the cultural consumption data for the first half of this year was that senior members made far more music-related requests in the classical category than in trot, and their interest in K-pop was also high." He added, "I hope Ddokbi's data helps us better understand the senior generation."
Meanwhile, Ddokbi is offering travel package products through collaborations with MyRealTrip, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, and MetLife Insurance. The service can be used by paying a monthly or annual membership fee, with 3,000 paid members and a total accumulated membership of about 30,000 as of now.
