'Thirty-Year-Old' Busan Film Festival Unveils Poster Reflecting History and Identity

'Thirty-Year-Old' Busan Film Festival Unveils Poster Reflecting History and Identity The 30th Busan International Film Festival poster. Busan International Film Festival

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, unveiled its official poster on July 24.

The poster for the 30th Busan International Film Festival features a "seal" at its center, symbolizing the identity of the festival. Positioned on red sand, the seal appears to embody the passion and time shared by audiences and filmmakers over the past 30 years. The number "30," rendered in bold brushstrokes, emphasizes the accumulated history and tradition with its striking calligraphic style.

The poster was designed by Choi Sundae, BIFF's art director. The Busan International Film Festival explained that the design visually represents both the 30-year journey of the festival and its new leap forward.

The festival will take place for ten days from September 17 to 26 at the Busan Cinema Center and surrounding areas.
