Free Parts Support Provided Even After Rental Period Expiry
Cuckoo is launching emergency support for residents of special disaster zones who have suffered large-scale damage due to the torrential rains that swept across the country.
On July 24, Cuckoo announced that it will provide emergency services such as free repairs and product exchanges to customers affected by flood damage in the six regions designated as special disaster zones by the government due to heavy rainfall: Gapyeong in Gyeonggi, Seosan and Yesan in South Chungcheong, Damyang in South Jeolla, and Sancheong and Hapcheon in South Gyeongsang.
First, in these areas, if home appliances have been flooded and damaged due to the heavy rains, free repair services will be provided. For rental products, if the damage occurred within the rental period, the product will be exchanged even if it cannot be repaired or has been lost. If the product can be repaired, free repair services will be provided. For products whose rental period has expired, Cuckoo will provide free parts support.
For products purchased outright, if the customer still possesses the product and it is within the warranty period, free repair services will be provided, and if repair is not possible, the product will be exchanged. For products purchased outright that are out of warranty, free parts support will also be provided as long as the customer still possesses the product.
Even for customers outside the officially designated special disaster zones, Cuckoo plans to provide additional support services through a separate process if they have suffered damage equivalent to a special disaster.
A Cuckoo representative said, "We would like to extend our condolences to residents who have suffered large-scale damage due to the torrential rains. We hope our emergency support, such as free repairs and exchanges for flooded home appliances, will be of some help in the swift recovery of daily life."
