Samsung Securities Launches "KOSPI 5,000 Points Wish Event"

Samsung Securities announced on July 24 that it will be holding the "KOSPI 5,000 Points Wish Event" until September 30, in support of revitalizing the domestic stock market and encouraging investors' successful investments.

This event targets new customers with resident registration numbers issued in the second half of 2025, as well as customers who did not trade domestic stocks or had a domestic stock balance of less than 1 million won in the first half of 2025. The event is divided into two phases: the first phase runs from July 15 to August 14, and the second phase from August 18 to September 30.

During each phase, participants can receive a cash reward up to five times, depending on the number of days they purchase domestic stocks within the respective period. The amount of the cash reward varies according to the KOSPI index level at the end of October: 2,000 won per purchase day if the KOSPI is in the 2,000-point range, 3,000 won in the 3,000-point range, 4,000 won in the 4,000-point range, and 10,000 won in the 5,000-point range.

For example, if the KOSPI index exceeds 5,000 points at the end of October and a participant purchases domestic stocks on five days during each phase, they will receive 10,000 won per day, up to a maximum of 50,000 won in cash rewards. However, participants must maintain a total balance of at least 1 million won as of the end of October to be eligible.

Meanwhile, Samsung Securities is continuously enhancing the stock information features of its mobile app "mPOP" to help investors make better use of investment information. In particular, the company has introduced new features such as the "Timing Detection" menu and the "Steady Seller" menu within the stock discovery function.

The "Timing Detection" menu provides the top 20 so-called "scout" stocks?stocks showing upward momentum and those most commonly held in single-share quantities by customers. The "Steady Seller" menu displays exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and dividend stocks that attract the attention of Samsung Securities customers, as well as stocks that are consistently purchased through the "Stock Accumulation" feature. These features offer useful information for long-term investing. In addition, the ETF search service has been refined, allowing users to easily search under various conditions such as asset manager and constituent stocks.

A Samsung Securities representative stated, "We have planned this event in hopes of ushering in the KOSPI 5,000-point era, so that customers can take greater interest in the domestic stock market and participate in direct investment. We will continue to provide practical benefits to new and returning investors to support their successful investment journeys."
