Promotion of the Opening of the Second Bang Jeonghwan Education Support Center
On July 23, Jungnang District in Seoul (Mayor Ryu Kyunggi) held the 94th anniversary memorial service for Bang Jeonghwan at Jungnang Mangwoo Space within Mangwoo Historical and Cultural Park. The event was organized by the Saekdonghoe Association.

Approximately 60 people attended the memorial service, including Mayor Ryu Kyunggi, Park Geumhee, Chairperson of Saekdonghoe, Bang Jeonghwan's family members, the Bang family association, and the Korea Children's Literature Association. The ceremony included a memorial address and song, a reading of Bang Jeonghwan's notable sayings, and a flower offering, all in honor of his life dedicated to children.
Mayor Ryu Kyunggi stated, "Reflecting on Bang Jeonghwan's noble love for children and his educational philosophy, I will work even harder to create an environment where all children can grow up happily. We will also continue to develop Mangwoo Historical and Cultural Park so that the spirit of Bang Jeonghwan can be widely shared."
Meanwhile, Jungnang District is carrying on Bang Jeonghwan's legacy by operating various educational programs for future generations through the Bang Jeonghwan Education Support Center. In response to growing educational demand, the district is also working to open a second Bang Jeonghwan Education Support Center.
