Hoban Group Donates 520 Million Won in Flood Relief Funds and Supplies

Affiliates Including Taihan Electric Wire Join Relief Efforts

Hoban Group announced on July 23 that it has donated 500 million won in cash and 20 million won worth of goods to help residents affected by heavy rainfall.

Of the 500 million won in cash, Hoban Group has designated 100 million won each for Dangjin in South Chungcheong Province, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and South Jeolla Province, totaling 300 million won. These funds will be used for the restoration of flooded homes and local infrastructure, support for the daily stability of displaced residents, and emergency relief activities.

Its affiliate, Taihan Electric Wire, has donated food, beverages, and daily necessities worth 20 million won to flood recovery sites and temporary shelters for displaced residents in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province. In addition, the Hoban Scholarship Foundation will provide an additional 200 million won in "local talent scholarships" for students in affected areas. Hoban Group also plans to carry out volunteer activities for disaster recovery, led by its employee volunteer group, Hoban Sarang Nanuimi.

Seongyu Kim, Chairman of Hoban Group, said, "I extend my deepest condolences to those who have suffered great losses due to the heavy rainfall," and added, "We will continue to provide various forms of support and volunteer activities to aid in the recovery and reconstruction of affected areas."

Hoban Group has consistently supported recovery efforts for large-scale natural disasters both domestically and internationally. Since 2023, the company has donated approximately 1.5 billion won in relief funds for wildfires and heavy rainfall in Korea, as well as for earthquake relief in T?rkiye and war relief in Ukraine.
