Gyeonggi Food Bank Receives Daily Necessities Worth 10 Million Won from Credit Recovery Committee

Gyeonggi Province has received daily necessities worth 10 million won from the Credit Recovery Committee to support underprivileged residents in the province.


The donated items will be distributed through the Gyeonggi Regional Food Bank to local food banks and markets, including Gapyeong County, which was affected by recent flood damage.


The supplies were selected based on the preferences of food bank users and include 150 sets of toilet paper (12 rolls each), 148 bottles of laundry detergent, 6,000 packs of ramen, and 750 kilograms of rice, among other essential daily necessities. Food banks and markets provide donated goods free of charge to vulnerable groups.

Kim Yongwoo, head of the Southern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Credit Recovery Committee, said, "I am very pleased to be able to share warmth with neighbors in need," adding, "We will further strengthen our cooperation with Gyeonggi Province to help restore the livelihoods of vulnerable groups in the region."


Kim Hoon, Director of Welfare at Gyeonggi Province, responded, "I would like to thank the Southern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the Credit Recovery Committee for donating essential daily necessities for those in need in our province," and added, "Gyeonggi Province will also make greater efforts to promote a culture of sharing."
