This recruitment was conducted through the integrated recruitment system for public institutions in Busan, resulting in a noticeable increase in both local university graduates and transfers from the public sector.

The corporation hired 187 out of the total 320 integrated recruits, accounting for approximately 60%, making it the largest recruitment among the participating institutions. This has served as a catalyst to invigorate the local youth employment market.

Among the new hires, 82.9% (155 people) were graduates from universities located in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, representing an increase of over 10 percentage points compared to the previous year. In particular, for driving positions, the rate was 78% for four-year university graduates and 85.4% when including high school and junior college graduates.

The corporation analyzed that the new residency restriction for driving positions, introduced this year for the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (BuuLGyeong) region, contributed to the increase in local talent.

The proportion of experienced new hires, or "mid-career new employees," was also 58.8% (110 people), up 5.3 percentage points from the previous year. Notably, transfers from the public sector accounted for 54.5% (102 people), an increase of 11.2 percentage points year-on-year, while those from central public institutions made up 25.7% (48 people). The corporation believes that the stability of local employment and a work environment that supports work-life balance have served as incentives for such transfers.

At the "CEO Communication Special Lecture" held at the Railroad Talent and Technology Institute on this day, President Lee Byungjin emphasized to the new employees the importance of a sense of duty as public officials and responsibility toward the local community. He stated, "The most important virtue for new employees is sincerity," and urged, "As employees of a leading regional public enterprise, you must always uphold integrity and a spirit of service."

Busan Transportation Corporation plans to continue recruitment in line with natural workforce demand and to create high-quality jobs that young people can truly feel.

President Lee said, "We will do our best so that outstanding talent can settle in the region and become a driving force for local community growth."
