To prevent price gouging, the county plans to limit sale prices to 10,000 won or less, and will select booth participants based on menus that utilize jangryu (fermented sauces).

This year's Jangryu Festival will be held from October 17 to 19 at the Sunchang Traditional Gochujang Folk Village, offering a unique experience that blends tradition and innovation in a region renowned for its centuries-old jang flavor.

Marking its 20th anniversary, the festival will feature a variety of new programs, as well as a diverse range of foods, sights, and activities centered around jangryu, making it a vibrant event that people of all ages can enjoy together.

County Governor Choi Youngil said, "I hope that hidden gem restaurants and businesses in the region will actively participate to promote the unique flavors and charm of Sunchang nationwide, and that this will serve as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy." He added, "We will spare no administrative support to ensure the festival is held safely and with substance during the remaining preparation period."
