On July 23, the Jochiwon-eup Residents' Autonomy Association in Sejong City, led by Chairman Hwang Seungwon, joined students from Daedong Elementary School, one of the area's well-known schools, to carry out an environmental cleanup activity in the Sinheung-ri district, taking steps to create a cleaner neighborhood.

The cleanup initiative was planned based on the students' own project proposal, titled "Don't Ignore It! Jochiwon Trash and Dog Feces."

On this day, the Residents' Autonomy Association and the students not only participated in the environmental cleanup but also conducted a campaign to raise awareness about prohibiting the illegal dumping of trash and pet waste, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection to local residents. In addition to this cleanup activity, the Residents' Autonomy Association plans to continue its efforts to improve the environment by installing signs prohibiting illegal dumping in key areas, thereby raising public awareness among residents.

Kim Byungho, the head of the eup, said, "This was a great opportunity for the local community and youth to come together and take the lead in addressing environmental issues," adding, "We will continue our efforts to ensure that plogging activities become an everyday practice, not just a one-time event."
