Joint Development of Demand-Tailored Curricula in the AI Field and More
Jeonju University College of Future Convergence has joined hands with the Jeonju Venture Business Promotion District Development Association (hereinafter referred to as 'JVADA') to foster digital transformation and AI talent development in Jeonbuk.

On July 22, Jeonju University announced that it had signed a business agreement with JVADA to promote digital transformation and AI talent development in Jeonbuk, and discussed practical measures to establish a cooperative system for nurturing digital talent based in the region.
The signing ceremony was attended by Han Dongsung, Dean of the College of Future Convergence, Song Haekeun, Head of the Lifelong Learning Support Center (RISE Project Group), as well as Lee Inho, Chairman of JVADA, and Yoon Miyoung, Secretary General of JVADA, among a total of 12 representatives from both organizations.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to collaborate on various initiatives, including: joint development of demand-tailored curricula in digital transformation and AI; fostering AI foundational and job-specialized talent for local SMEs, venture companies, and small business owners; supporting adult learners through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and career redesign based on field experience; and utilizing data and digital tools for job transitions and employment linkage.
Jeonju University College of Future Convergence is currently running practical, life-based digital competency training in general administration, sales, and marketing for employees and small business owners through the Ministry of Education's '2025 AID Intensive Course for Employees (AID 30+)' program.
Through this agreement, the university expects to more actively respond to the AI and digital transformation needs of local industries and further strengthen its system for cultivating on-site-ready talent who can immediately apply their skills in the workplace.
Han Dongsung, Dean of the College of Future Convergence, stated, "The university has continuously operated job-specialized training courses for adult learners and employees, including AI office automation, data analysis, and digital content production. This agreement is expected to provide a practical response to the digital needs of Jeonbuk's industrial field and serve as an opportunity to elevate the capabilities of local talent to the next level."
Meanwhile, Jeonju University College of Future Convergence aims to solve regional issues and foster industry-specialized talent based on the convergence of humanities and engineering, and operates departments such as the Department of Agri-food Business, the Department of Entrepreneurship Management and Finance, the Minerva Division (Technology Management Engineering major, Cultural Content major), and the Department of Companion Plant and Animal Studies.
