The Korea Sports Council (President Lee Seungmin) announced on the 22nd that magician Choi Hyunwoo has been appointed as its Public Relations Ambassador.

The Public Relations Ambassador of the Korea Sports Council will contribute to activities such as: advancing sports (including expanding the base for less popular sports and protecting sports human rights); communication through the Council's official social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, blog, TikTok, etc.); participation in major events and operational projects of the Council, as well as talent donation; and creating an atmosphere of sports participation through lectures invited by regional and member sports organizations.

As Public Relations Ambassador, Choi Hyunwoo will work to increase public interest in events such as the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and will engage in various activities to promote the value of sports for all through talent sharing.

At the appointment ceremony held on the 22nd at the Korea Sports Council meeting room on the 3rd floor of Olympic Parktel in Seoul, Korea Sports Council President Lee Seungmin and Public Relations Ambassador Choi Hyunwoo are taking a commemorative photo. Korea Sports Council

President Lee Seungmin stated, "It is very meaningful to welcome Mr. Choi Hyunwoo as the first magician to serve as Public Relations Ambassador for the Korea Sports Council," adding, "I expect that we will be able to work together not only to promote the upcoming Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and foster a positive atmosphere, but also to raise awareness of the Council and the Republic of Korea, as well as to enhance a variety of values."

Public Relations Ambassador Choi Hyunwoo expressed his gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank the Korea Sports Council for entrusting me with such an important role. Since magic and sports share many similarities, I will do my best to add magical inspiration to the world of sports and the Council, and to help more people experience energy and miracles in their lives through sports."
