7.31 Million Applications Submitted in a Single Day on July 22
A total of 14.28 million people applied for the livelihood recovery consumption coupons during the first two days after applications began.
According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on July 23, as of midnight on July 22, 14,286,084 people, accounting for 28.2% of those eligible to receive the consumption coupons, had completed their applications. On the first day of applications, July 21, approximately 6,976,000 people applied, and on July 22, 7.31 million people submitted applications.
So far, the most preferred issuance method among applicants has been credit and debit cards, chosen by 10,623,299 people. This was followed by mobile and card-type local gift certificates with 2,162,638 applicants, prepaid cards with 1,247,713 applicants, and paper-type local gift certificates with 252,434 applicants.
The region with the highest application rate for the consumption coupons was Incheon at 30.02%. The region with the lowest application rate was Jeju at 26.36%.
The total amount allocated for the consumption coupons is 2.586 trillion won.
