CJ ENM announced on July 23 that actors Lee Byungheon and Im Siwan will be joining the special lineup for the global K-culture festival "KCON LA 2025."
Lee Byungheon and Im Siwan will take the stage at "M Countdown," the highlight event of KCON, where they will perform as global K-culture ambassadors. Im Siwan is also scheduled to participate in programs designed to engage with fans, including booth visits and special talk sessions.
Before this, Im Siwan will also take part in "K-Culture Night at the Academy Museum with KCON," set to be held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in the United States on July 31 (local time). This event is a special program being held for the first time through collaboration between KCON and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and all tickets sold out within two hours of opening. He is expected to discuss his journey as an actor and the cultural depth of K-content during the event.
KCON is a global K-culture festival by CJ ENM that began in the United States in 2012 and has introduced various aspects of the K-lifestyle?including K-pop, dramas, food, and beauty?to international audiences. Over 14 years, it has been held in 14 regions including the United States, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, recording a cumulative attendance of 2.1 million people.
This year, KCON LA will take place over three days from August 1 to 3 at Crypto.com Arena and the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, United States. It will be operated as a comprehensive cultural platform where attendees can experience not only K-pop performances but also the broader K-lifestyle. At the "K-Content by CJ ENM" booth, visitors can participate in programs featuring CJ ENM content, such as the Tving original drama "Dear X" and the tvN weekend drama "Seocho-dong."
CJ ENM stated, "KCON has established itself as a form of soft power at the level of cultural diplomacy, going beyond a simple festival," and added, "As a mega-brand leading global cultural trends, we will continue to promote the spread of K-culture."
