Lecture on "The Birth of the Universe, the Birth of Life, the Birth of AI"

Home&Shopping announced on July 23 that it held the '2025 1st Home&Shopping Celebrity Invitation Forum' at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

The Celebrity Invitation Forum was organized to share key issues and trends in the cultural and distribution environments, and to spread successful cases of artificial intelligence (AI) and various insights across broadcasting as a whole. Approximately 150 Home&Shopping executives and employees attended the lecture in person, while about 1,500 partner companies watched simultaneously via YouTube live streaming.

This forum featured former Minister Youngsun Park, who currently serves as Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in the United States, Visiting Professor at Sogang University, and Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Park delivered a lecture titled 'The Birth of the Universe, the Birth of Life, the Birth of AI.'

During the lecture, former Minister Park stated, "The birth of AI is the third major turning point for humanity," emphasizing, "From now on, competition in distribution and industry will be about how much superior intelligence is embedded in the same product." She further explained, "Only companies that have established AI internalization infrastructure will be able to survive and lead the industry in the future market," stressing the need for the home shopping industry to develop an AI infrastructure strategy.

Home&Shopping plans to continue expanding knowledge sharing and cooperation for strengthening competitiveness in the home shopping industry during challenging times, through various forums that integrate culture, distribution, and AI.
