KARI and Hanwha in Final Negotiations and Coordination
The negotiations for the transfer of Nuriho launch vehicle technology between the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and Hanwha Aerospace have entered the final stage, with the goal of signing an agreement on July 25.
According to the Korea Aerospace Administration on July 22, KARI and Hanwha Aerospace are conducting final coordination and negotiations to sign the technology transfer agreement on July 25.
Both KARI and Hanwha Aerospace stated, "Negotiations are ongoing," and added, "We have nothing to disclose at this time."
Previously, Hanwha Aerospace was selected in 2022 as the lead company for the Korean Launch Vehicle Advancement Project, which aims to transfer Nuriho technology through the fourth to sixth launches of the Nuriho.
The project is intended to transfer Nuriho technology to the private sector. However, it is known that KARI and Hanwha Aerospace have faced difficulties in negotiations due to differing opinions regarding the technology's value assessment, among other issues.
