Governor Park Wansu of Gyeongnam Province visited Uiryeong and Hapcheon, which suffered heavy rain damage on July 22, following his earlier visit to Sancheong.
On this day, Governor Park checked the status of flooded homes and stores in Guseong Village, Daeeui-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, and visited a farm in Samga-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, that suffered damage to its citrus greenhouse facility.
Governor Park said, "I extend my deepest condolences to the residents who are struggling due to the sudden torrential rains," and added, "We will focus all provincial resources on swift recovery and on preventing further damage."

In Guseong Village, Uiryeong, 52 households and stores were flooded, and recovery work is underway on roads, rivers, and drainage systems, including Provincial Road No. 12, which also sustained damage.
In Samga-myeon, Hapcheon, 0.3 hectares of citrus greenhouse facilities were submerged, and it was reported that 600 Jinji-hyang trees suffered damage from the heavy rain.
Governor Park expressed his gratitude to the personnel and volunteers engaged in the recovery efforts, saying, "I thank everyone who has devoted themselves despite difficult circumstances," and pledged, "The province will continue to provide support so that residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."

Gyeongnam Province is continuing recovery work in the areas affected by the torrential rains through a joint public-private-military-police system involving government officials, military units, police, and civilian volunteer organizations.
A total of 3,563 personnel, including government officials and residents, have been deployed to the sites, along with 1,147 pieces of equipment, including 704 excavators and 35 dump trucks.
The 39th Infantry Division of the Army is providing personnel and equipment to Hadong, Changnyeong, Hapcheon, and Sancheong, while about 700 volunteers are assisting at disaster sites through volunteer centers in Sacheon, Gimhae, Goseong, and Namhae.
In addition, disinfection activities to prevent infectious diseases are being intensively carried out at 53 locations in 10 cities and counties.
In the agricultural sector, 20 emergency workers and 15 excavators owned by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation have been dispatched to support Phalaenopsis orchid export farms, and additional manpower needs in affected areas are also being surveyed.
Of the 31 affected sites, two controlled sections (Hapcheon J1041 and rural roads) have already been restored first, and emergency restoration work is planned for 11 rivers as well.
