Hyundai Department Store Group Donates 300 Million Won for Heavy Rain Recovery Efforts

Donation Delivered to the National Disaster Relief Association
Additional Fundraising Campaign Involving Customers and Employees
Matching Donation for Every H Point Contributed

Hyundai Department Store Group announced on July 22 that it will donate 300 million won to support recovery efforts in areas affected by heavy rainfall across the country.


The donation, delivered through the National Disaster Relief Association, will be used to provide daily necessities to disaster victims and to operate evacuation facilities. Hyundai Department Store Group also plans to make additional donations through a fundraising campaign involving customers and employees.


Until July 31, the group will run a "Flood Relief Point Donation Matching Campaign" on its integrated membership H Point application (app). For every H Point donated by customers, Hyundai Department Store will match the amount and donate the total to the National Disaster Relief Association.

A representative of Hyundai Department Store Group stated, "We extend our deepest condolences to those affected by the sudden heavy rainfall," and added, "We hope this support will help speed up recovery efforts and assist disaster victims in returning to their daily lives."


Previously, in March of this year, Hyundai Department Store Group donated relief funds worth a total of 400 million won to the National Disaster Relief Association to support recovery in areas affected by large-scale wildfires in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province; Sancheong, South Gyeongsang Province; and Ulju, Ulsan.
