This program is a strategic project designed to showcase Uljin's unique nighttime charm, allowing visitors to escape the sweltering daytime heat and enjoy the cool evenings. It also aims to revitalize the local economy by encouraging tourists to extend their stays.

As its name suggests, "Ya (Night) Uljin" features nighttime programs that shine even brighter after dark in Uljin.

During the "Ya (Night) Uljin" program period, seven locations?including the Wangpicheon Cable Car, Aquarium, and Seongnyugul Cave?will extend their usual operating hours from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Additionally, the program will feature a horror theme, a popular motif in summer, to provide extra enjoyment for visitors.

Seongnyugul Cave will also offer a unique experience where participants can explore both the interior and exterior of the cave using flashlights. With the cave's natural temperature maintained at around 15°C, visitors can enjoy the special experience of exploring a cool cave during the summer heat.

In addition, several other venues will extend their operating hours, allowing visitors to enjoy exhibitions in the cool of the night during the tropical evenings: the National Uljin Marine Science Museum (until 8 p.m. from August 1 to 3), the Freshwater Fish Ecology Experience Center (until 8 p.m. from July 29 to August 3), and the Bongpyeong-ri Silla Stele Exhibition Hall (until 9 p.m. from July 29 to August 3).

Notably, Uljin Yacht School is preparing a special program that will allow visitors to enjoy the night scenery around Hupo Port by yacht on summer evenings, drawing significant anticipation.

Additionally, the "Sum Market," a food market operated directly by local residents, will be open until 9 p.m. at Wangpicheon Park. On August 2 at 7 p.m., a classical music performance featuring string and vocal music will be held in the plaza in front of the cable car, promising to create even more special memories for nighttime tourists.

Uljin County expects that the newly installed nighttime lighting along the Wolsongjeong Premium Barefoot Trail, as well as the street lights stretching from Euneo Bridge to the pine forest in Wangpicheon Park, will enhance the enjoyment of nighttime strolls for visitors.

County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "This nighttime tourism program is expected to offer a wide range of activities for visitors coming to Uljin during the summer vacation season, while also revitalizing the local economy. We hope many people will experience Uljin's nighttime tourism and create special memories."
