On July 22, the Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center announced that it will hold an on-site auction of unused rental agricultural machinery for local agricultural businesses over four days from August 5 to 8.

This auction will cover 45 units across 13 types of equipment, including tractors and agricultural excavators, that have either exceeded their service life or become outdated after being operated at the Agricultural Machinery Rental Center.

Bidding is restricted to agricultural businesses (individuals) registered in Gwangju with an address in the city as of the announcement date (July 7). Participants must bring a certificate of agricultural business registration, a resident registration abstract, and a form of identification to take part in the bidding.

The auction will be conducted by awarding the item to the participant who offers the highest bid above the appraised value. Successful bidders can collect the machinery after submitting the required documents and completing payment.

On-site inspection of the machinery to be auctioned is available from July 31 to August 4, and also on the day of bidding. All participants are required to check the condition of the machinery in advance. For more details, visit the Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center website or contact the Agricultural Machinery Team in the Future Agriculture Division.

Kim Sira, Director of the Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "We hope this auction will help reduce management costs for farmers," and emphasized, "Since the items for sale are used agricultural machines that have exceeded their service life, participants must carefully inspect the actual condition before bidding."
