The Songpa Hanyang 2nd Apartment Reconstruction and Maintenance Project is a 685.6 billion won development to construct a total of 1,346 units in buildings up to 29 stories high on a 62,370-square-meter site at 192 Garak-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul. HDC Hyundai Development Company plans to showcase a premium residential complex with outstanding seismic performance and structural stability through its collaboration with LERA.

Structural design is a core element in apartment reconstruction, as it guarantees residents' safety and the long-term lifespan of buildings. In particular, for large-scale complexes, sophisticated structural design is required that takes into account ground conditions, seismic performance, durability, and construction efficiency.

LERA plans to introduce cutting-edge structural engineering technologies to this project, including: specialized vibration damping device technology, performance-based structural design, advanced seismic design technology, wind load resistance design technology, and residential safety design technology integrated with the latest architectural designs.

A representative from HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "Based on our collaboration with LERA, we will create a residential complex that combines structural safety and quality," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the Songpa Hanyang 2nd Complex reconstruction project becomes a leading example of redevelopment not only in Jamsil but also throughout the southeastern region of Seoul."

A representative from LERA said, "Drawing on our structural design experience in major cities around the world, we will provide optimized structural solutions for the Songpa Hanyang 2nd Apartment reconstruction project," and added, "We aim to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and safe residential environment."

LERA is a global engineering company that has performed structural design for world-renowned skyscraper landmarks such as the World Trade Center in New York, the Shanghai World Financial Center in China, and Merdeka PNB 118 in Malaysia. The company has also been responsible for the structural design of landmarks in Korea, including Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Parc1 in Yeouido, and Incheon International Airport. In addition, LERA was in charge of the structural design for 'The Line 330,' Section 1 of the Yongsan Maintenance Depot redevelopment project, which was awarded to HDC Hyundai Development Company.
