In addition, Sancheong County is running disaster psychological counseling centers in cooperation with the Sancheong County Mental Health Welfare Center, the Gyeongnam Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center, and the Gyeongnam Psychological Recovery Support Center (Korean Red Cross).

County Governor Lee Seunghwa said, "It breaks my heart that our residents, who went through difficult times due to the wildfire in March and were preparing for brighter days, are once again experiencing pain. I am especially saddened by the loss of life and would like to first offer my condolences to the bereaved families."

He continued, "We will focus all administrative efforts on recovery so that residents, who are facing increasing hardship, can quickly return to their happy daily lives. I will carefully inspect every site and, together with public officials, do our utmost to ensure that residents do not experience any inconvenience."
