LG Donates 2 Billion Won to National Disaster Relief Association for Flood Recovery

Recovery Efforts in Flood-Stricken Areas and Support for Displaced Residents
Emergency Relief Kits Provided Through the Korean Red Cross
Affiliates Launch Relief Initiatives, Including Service Centers for Assistance

LG has donated 2 billion won to the National Disaster Relief Association to assist residents in areas affected by heavy rainfall.


The donation, delivered by LG on July 22, will be used for recovery efforts in flood-stricken regions and to support displaced residents. In addition, LG will provide emergency relief kits containing blankets, clothing, daily necessities, and other essential items for disaster victims through the Korean Red Cross.


An LG representative stated, "We hope that our support will help residents in the affected areas, who have lost their homes and are facing difficulties due to the floods, to quickly return to their daily lives."

LG affiliates have also launched emergency relief efforts, including the repair of flooded home appliances, provision of essential daily supplies, and support for wireless communication services. Since July 19, LG Electronics has set up service centers in emergency flood-affected areas such as Asan and Yesan in Chungcheongnam-do, and Sancheong in Gyeongsangnam-do, offering free inspection and repair services for home appliances. LG Electronics also plans to establish service centers in Gyeonggi Province, which experienced sudden flooding over the weekend. On-site, LG staff check the condition of flooded electronic devices and provide cleaning, repairs, and parts replacement. The company is also running a "visiting service," where service managers visit affected households directly.


LG Household & Health Care is providing relief supplies such as bottled water for drinking, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash to flood victims. LG Uplus is operating mobile base stations, vehicles offering free Wi-Fi, and mobile phone battery charging stations to stabilize communication networks and support residents in flood-affected areas.
