A man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, who went missing in the Naseong-dong area of Sejong City on July 17, was found on July 21 in the bushes along the Geumgang River. This was five days after he went missing and three days after authorities began their search. The body discovered at the site matched the physical description of the missing man in his 40s.
On this day, fire authorities conducting a drone search found an unidentified body in the bushes near the river, about 100 meters downstream from Geumganggyo Bridge in Sejong-dong.
A police official stated, "Mr. A's older brother visually identified the body."
The police plan to collect fingerprints and conduct DNA testing to confirm the exact identity. After completing the identification process and obtaining consent from the bereaved family, they will decide whether to perform an autopsy.
