Youth players from the baseball specialist team of the Sejong Public Sports Club have achieved outstanding results, prompting the local political community to organize an event to encourage them.

On July 21, Im Chaesung, chairman of the Sejong City Council, invited these players to present them with awards for excellence and to celebrate their victory at the National Youth Baseball Championship. After the award ceremony, a discussion session was held to gather and share a wide range of on-site opinions on promoting youth sports, with participation from youth athletes, coaches, and parents.

In particular, despite the challenging circumstances of having no baseball teams at the middle and high school levels, the players were commended for their consistent training and for winning the National Youth Baseball Championship for three consecutive years. There was also a discussion on measures to further develop youth sports. The city council plans to lay the foundation for the advancement of youth sports by cooperating with relevant organizations and to strengthen communication so that voices from the field can be reflected in practical policies.

Chairman Im stated, "Sports is more than just competition; it is a valuable experience of growth made possible by miracles of sweat and effort," and added, "The three consecutive championship wins achieved by our youth players are a source of pride for Sejong City and a testament to the limitless possibilities and potential of youth sports." He further noted, "We will continue to seek effective policies, such as improving training environments and linking sports with career paths, so that youth athletes can pursue their dreams while balancing academics and training."
