Open Until August 24, Closed on Mondays
Exotic Photo Zone and Top Summer Destination
Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province announced on July 21 that the Seomjingang Train Village Children's Water Playground, a perfect place to beat the summer heat, will open temporarily on July 25. The water playground will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until August 24, except on Mondays when it will be closed.
Located on a 10,000-square-meter site near the existing Train Village Magic Land exhibition hall, the children's water playground features a water play area where the whole family can have fun together, as well as a photo zone with exotic scenery reminiscent of a tropical beach. It is expected to become one of the best summer destinations this year.
The playground is equipped with five combination play structures where children can play safely and stay cool, and a thrilling water slide that stretches up to 79 meters, helping visitors forget the summer heat. In addition, there are rest areas, showers, and convenient facilities for storing and renting items, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their visit.
During the temporary opening period, Gokseong County residents can enter the Seomjingang Train Village Children's Water Playground free of charge. Visitors from other regions can access both the Train Village and the water playground with a single Train Village admission ticket. However, all users, including both residents and tourists, will be charged a fee of 5,000 won for three rides on the water slide.
Meanwhile, Seomjingang Train Village continues to be a highly popular summer tourist destination, featuring attractions such as the rail bike, steam locomotive, various exhibition halls, and hands-on experience facilities.
