[New Book] "The Universe's Code 3, 6, 9" (Squid Game and Hallyu Numerology Cheonbu-gyeong)

Dr. Lee Changu, an expert in Cheonbu-gyeong and ancient history, has published a new book titled "The Universe's Code 3, 6, 9: Squid Game and Hallyu Numerology Cheonbu-gyeong" (Deokju Publishing). The book explores how the shapes of the circle (○), square (□), and triangle (△) appear in the drama "Squid Game," and how the rhythm of 3, 6, 9 from traditional Korean games is present in K-pop star Ros?'s "Apartment." Dr. Lee began preparing this book in 2021 after noticing the circle, square, and triangle in "Squid Game," and has completed it after five years of work. The Korean numerological code "Cheonbu-gyeong" contains the circle, square, triangle, the numbers 3, 6, 9, and the triad of Heaven, Earth, and Human (Cheon·Ji·In). According to Dr. Lee, this is the core driving force and keyword behind the global appeal of Hallyu.

The West is no exception. Nikola Tesla, the world-renowned inventor and physicist originally from Serbia who immigrated to the United States, once "prophesied" that the numbers 3, 6, and 9, which appear in Cheonbu-gyeong, are the key to the universe, and that understanding the greatness of these numbers would unlock the secrets of the cosmos.

The book also introduces interpretations of Cheonbu-gyeong by renowned figures such as Ven. Tanheo, Won-Buddhist Supreme Dharma Master Kim Daesan, calligrapher Son Kyungsik, and I Ching scholar Kim Seokjin, as well as Cheonbu-gyeong by Jeon Byunghun published in Beijing. In addition, it reveals for the first time the mathematical principles of the "Cheonbu-gyeong-do" (Cheonbu-gyeong Diagram), which Uncho Gye Yeonsu made a rubbing of from a stone wall in Mount Myohyang over 100 years ago, based on the numbers 3, 6, and 9. Dr. Lee has detailed the secrets of Cheonbu-gyeong and Tesla's 3, 6, 9, which he has studied for many years, in this book. The book also explores how the East and West are connected through 3, 6, and 9, and readers will find it intriguing to learn what happens to the remaining numbers 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, and 5.

The author, Dr. Lee Changu, was born in 1956 in Nonsan, Chungnam, and began studying "Cheonbu-gyeong" in 1983. From 1985, he studied the I Ching and the Four Books under Kim Seokjin for nine years. He has contributed to the Encyclopedia of Korean National Culture and served as an editorial board member for the Dictionary of Korean Philosophy. His works include "Handan Gogi Sunhae," "The Encounter of the I Ching and Donghak," and "Cheonbu-gyeong." He currently operates the Uhalyang Gojoseon Academy (Daum Cafe).
