GH Donates 70 Million Won to Create Jobs for the New Senior Generation

Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is launching a social contribution project in partnership with the Korea Senior Citizens Development Institute to promote social participation and job creation for the new senior generation.

This project will be operated as a pilot program for eight months, from July 2025 to February 2026. Its goal is to address gaps in elderly and child care through the social roles of the new senior generation and to realize intergenerational coexistence.

To support the project, GH has donated a total of 70 million won to the Korea Senior Citizens Development Institute. This funding will be used to hire more than 10 members of the new senior generation.

The hired personnel will provide a range of care services, including learning support and care for children, as well as companionship and walking assistance for the elderly.

Lee Jongseon, Acting President of GH, stated, "This project is meaningful in that it not only creates jobs but also realizes intergenerational coexistence by connecting the capabilities of the new senior generation with the local community. GH will continue to faithfully fulfill its role as a public enterprise that proactively responds to various social issues."
