Agency States: "Direct Apology to Fan... Will Exercise Greater Caution in Words and Actions"
Actor Ha Jungwoo (real name Kim Sunghoon) has issued an apology to the individual involved and to fans after leaving a comment on social media in response to a fan's request for a nickname, in which he wrote "aphrodisiac," sparking controversy.
On July 21, a photo showing actor Ha Jungwoo responding to a fan's request for a nickname with the comment "aphrodisiac" became a hot topic online. As criticism grew over the inappropriateness of his words, Ha Jungwoo deleted the comment and issued a statement through his agency.
Ha Jungwoo's agency, Workshop Company, stated, "We sincerely apologize to the individual who may have been offended by our artist (Ha Jungwoo)'s social media activity. The actor has also personally contacted the fan to apologize and discuss the matter. We promise that, moving forward, we will be even more careful and considerate in our communication and conduct with fans."
