"Roll the Dice and See Changwon, Changwon Mabul" to Premiere on the 23rd
Changwon Special City in South Gyeongsang Province will premiere its entertainment-style policy promotion content, "Roll the Dice and See Changwon, 'Changwon Mabul'," on July 23 at 8:00 a.m. through the city's official YouTube channel, "Recommended Changwon." In this program, public officials appear directly and complete missions themselves.
"Changwon Mabul" is a nonfiction variety show on YouTube that adopts the format of the board game Blue Marble. Participants roll dice and complete various missions related to Changwon's policies, tourism resources, and culture based on the spaces they land on. By adding entertainment elements to information delivery in a format tailored to the public's perspective, it is gaining attention as the first such initiative by a local government.
In particular, through real administrative field experiences such as "Civil Complaint Call Center Operations" and "Shade Canopy Inspections," the show aims to indirectly convey the realities of public service and foster empathy and understanding among citizens.
The city expects that this content will provide the digital generation, including young people, with an easy and engaging way to learn about city administration. At the same time, by introducing the vibrant administrative field and local attractions of Changwon in an entertaining manner, the show is anticipated to present a new direction for municipal publicity.
Lee Dongho, spokesperson for Changwon, stated, "We aimed to increase understanding and interest in administration by incorporating entertainment elements into policy content, moving beyond traditional information-based promotion." He added, "We ask for your continued interest in Changwon Mabul, which is scheduled to be uploaded every Wednesday."
