The Salvation Army Korea Territory (Commander Kim Byungyun) announced on the 21st that it has expanded its emergency relief activities, which have been focused on the Chungnam region severely affected by heavy rainfall, to include Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Naju in Jeonnam, in addition to Yesan, Dangjin, and Asan in Chungnam.

Since the 18th, the Salvation Army has deployed a mobile meal service vehicle in Yesan, Chungnam, providing three meals a day and snacks to disaster victims and recovery workers, and delivering tailored on-site support. Starting on the 20th, the organization also set up 30 tents in Sancheong, Gyeongnam, and began providing meals for approximately 500 displaced people, thereby expanding its relief coverage from the Chungcheong region to the southern region.

As of the 21st, meals have been provided to more than 2,000 displaced people and recovery workers, along with 500 sets of daily necessities such as bottled water, hygiene products, chargers, and blankets. Salvation Army volunteers and local residents are participating in the meal service, with an average of about 50 people deployed on-site each day to assist with relief activities.

Jang Kyuyoung, head of the Salvation Army Emergency Relief Team, stated, "Depending on the progress of the recovery, there is a possibility that support will be extended beyond the 22nd to meet on-site needs," adding, "We will continue to connect necessary resources until recovery efforts are completed."
